What to expect?
Being new to childcare can be daunting. At the Honeypot we understand that not all families are familiar with childcare and we are here to ensure each family is adequately educated and confident for when their child starts care. Our team of friendly staff offer support to families throughout the enrolment process.
If you are interested in care for your child, we invite you to come and have a tour of our centre's. Unlike most centre's, we don't require a booking time for a tour. We understand that life and children can be unpredictable therefore we invite families to come on a day and time that suits them, informing us is not necessary but it is appreciated.
You can call or email our centre's to inquire about starting childcare, or to be added to our waiting list. We take a few details from you to add to the waiting list and once we have confirmed a spot for you, we will then begin the process of enrolment forms being completed. Please bare in mind that our waiting lists are quite extensive and being small centres it does take longer to get through these lists. We will always do everything we can to ensure your wants and needs are met when booking childcare or being placed on the waiting list, but please be aware of our circumstances.
Below is what we ask families to bring when their child begins care.
List of Services
-
BackpackList Item 1
We advise using a backpack that has enough room for the below items needed as well as some extra room to allow for artworks/creations your child may bring home.
-
Drink bottleList Item 2
Please pack a drink bottle that is easy for your child to use and ensure it is labelled with your child's name.
-
Spare change of clothingList Item 3
We ask that at least one spare change of clothing is packed in the child's backpack, this may be used if a child has been engaging in water/messy play and needs a clothing change.
If your child is toilet training, we advise that there are numerous underwear and bottoms packed to allow for any accidents.
-
ComfortersList Item 4
This includes dummys, teddys, blankets your child may have that can be used for either comfort or sleep times.
We also ask with any bottles your child may have that enough bottles and formula are supplied. Our policy states bottles are to only be used once while at the Honeypot as we do not steralise bottles after use so please ensure enough bottles are supplied for the amount of bottle feeds needed.
At The Honeypot, we supply all nappies, wipes, sunscreen, food and milk. However, if you would prefer your own nappies, wipes or sunscreen you are required to supply your own. We cater to all children's dietary requirements and medical conditions. All of this information will be stated throughout the enrolment process.
