HONEYPOT
The Honeypot Early Learning Centre's located in Warrnambool and Koroit provide quality care for children birth - 5 years. We pride ourselves on creating a warm and friendly environment where children, families and staff feel safe and secure. The Honeypot Early Learning Centre's foster an environment that is nurturing, caring, respects individuality and encourages independence. We value an environment that includes all people and shows a respect for diversity of cultures, languages, classes, abilities, learning styles and gender. We strongly believe ALL children, families and staff have the right to become an active participant within his/her childhood learning community. This is reflected throughout our enrolment and orientation and induction practices, ensuring we are providing an inclusive environment for all. Educators respect each individual family circumstance, their beliefs and values, by having an open relationship this will provide us with valuable information about their child.
Our educators understand the critical importance of a child's first 5 years of life and the impact this has on children's development and learning. Room leaders have created an inclusive environment for children, staff and families which is displayed through a diverse range of activities and experiences throughout the service. To effectively support children, educators display consistency across the service through routine, experiences, consistent educators and communicating with families to ensure consistency at home and childcare.
Our Service values of Nurture, Teamwork, Respect and Discover are thoroughly embedded throughout our programs, routines, interactions, and relationships.
At the Honeypot Early Learning Centres, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Gunditjmara Country on which we gather on today. We pay our respects to the Marr Nation and the Elders past, present and emerging. May our work continue to build on the work of Aboriginal Ancestors and Elders; the custodians of the land, in maintaining cultural practices and family kinship, through language, song, dance, storytelling and caring for country. May our children become the teachers of tomorrow, carrying the local stories and become strong advocates of our Indigenous culture within Victoria.
